I'm Natalie Kaplan
My friends, family, teachers, neighbors, etc., call me Natkap, and now you can too!

Born and raised in Ambler, PA, I grew up running between rehearsals and soccer practice. (My favorite cheesesteak spot is Dalessandro's.) Now, I am an actor based in New York City. (Don't worry, though; I was more of the personality-hire of the "Whitpain Wolves" soccer team anyway...) As a queer Jewish actor, I love work that have a mix of levity and depth- the types of stories that make us laugh, cry, and feel more human.

I am expected to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a BFA in Acting in May 2025. I loved my drama classes and taking literature, anthropology, and political science courses. While at SU, I deepened my passion for working on stage in contemporary plays and fell absolutely in love with Shakespeare, Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), and film acting. I also have a strong love of stage combat! (Specifically unarmed and single sword now, rapier and dagger in the works!) I also joined Groovestand A Capella at SU and enjoyed having that connection to music.

When I am not working on art, you'll find me working at my hometown preschool. I still love kicking around the soccer ball or playing ultimate frisbee with my friends! Any game, and I'm game! I especially like pickleball with my dad right now.

 Tepper Semster- I am currently studying in NYC as a part of Syracuse's Tepper Semester! Photo taken in Darryl Quinton's Conditioning for the Actor class. |  Solo Work- I worked on three solo performances in my last semester on campus at Syracuse! One of which was Just Humor Me- the recording of this performance is linked here. I created a 15 minute arch of Measure for Measure's Isabella as part of a class in which you create a solo piece for a Shakespeare character using 160 lines of their text. I also created a solo movement show about soccer and religion! |  Twelfth Night- I had the opportunity to play Viola in Twelfth Night as my last SU Drama show directed by Will Pomerantz! I also was the fight and intimacy captain for the show working with Alec Barbour. |

I learned so much from Christine Albright-Tufts- the Director. |  I was an actor in "White Rabbit Red Rabbit"- a piece where you receive the script when you perform in front of the audience! |  ICCAs- I competed with my A Capella group GROOVESTAND at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella! Performance Video in Media section! |
 The Globe- I studied Abroad at Shakespeare's Globe! I played Rosalind in As You Like It. |  Shakespeare & Company- The intensive at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA changed my life! This is me as Celia from As You Like It. |  Push Pull Together Apart- Photo from the Theater for the Very Young Tour- an interactive piece for children ages 0-6 to get introduced to theater! |
 I was a Production Assistant for Cymbeline at Syracuse! |  I played Marthe in Nicholas Kowerko's A Stroll in the Air- an Ionesco absurdist piece. |
